01 Challenge

B.Grimm Power needed one platform to aggregate, analyze and monitor power generation across the multiple plants in its portfolio, with both batch and real-time data.
02 Approach

Built on AWS, the platform combines a batch data pipeline with real-time monitoring. We designed its database schema and two architectures: Full Feature for production and Minimum Resource for an MVP or cost-conscious deployment.
03 Outcome

The platform provides a Portfolio View of all plants and a Site Monitor for each, with Actual/Forecast/Imbalance charts, plus modules for generation plans, balancing, imbalance reports, billing and admin.

Overview

The B.GRIMM Aggregator Platform is an analytics and monitoring platform for power generation at the power plants in the B.Grimm Power group. It aggregates, visualizes and monitors multiple power plants across B.Grimm’s multi-site portfolio. It combines a batch data pipeline with real-time monitoring on AWS cloud.
